Sonal Ahya

Called in 1995, Sonal has built a strong defence practice in all areas of serious crime. Sonal is often instructed to represent demanding clients or where cases are more demanding in their nature. She has been described as a "tough representative" who uses sound judgement to make good tactical decisions.

Sonal has represented a number of defendants in high profile cases as well as a number of police officers charged with an array of offences, many of which instructed her via the Police Federation.

Frida is currently completing a family and civil pupillage under the supervision on Moira Walsh. So far during her second six, she has conducted private child disputes, public law children interim contested hearings, civil small claims trials and applications. Frida has worked with vulnerable clients that have faced challenges such as domestic violence, alcohol abuse, drug abuse and mental health issues.
